But there is an ancient country between east and west, which is one of the few secrets, remained in the world, exciting and mysterious. It's difficult not to be excited about all the sights Armenia can offer, starting from interesting concerts, galleries, cozy bars and night clubs of Yerevan to the high mountains around the Lake Sevan - 2000m high above sea level, the prehistoric cave settlement with the mysterious rock carvings of primitive man, the ancient UNESCO sites and the unique centuries-old monuments which are older than the Egyptian pyramids.

Surrounded mostly by the Islamic countries Armenia is the first Christian Country in the World (over 1,700 years ago).


Hereby we would like to underline some of the reasons for the travel choice of Armenia:

- Armenia is an ancient country with one of the oldest civilizations in the world, known since times of Sumer and Akkad.
- Armenia has a culture of 3000 years between east and west.
- The symbol of Armenia is the holy Mount Ararat, where Noah's Ark has found their retirement.
- It is the first Christian country in the world with ancient UNESCO monasteries.

- On the territory of Armenia the following historical and cultural sites can be found: the only pagan temple of the CIS - Temple of Garni; the Armenian Stonehenge - the observatory Karahunge (Zorats Qarer), which is 3500 years older than England’s Stonehenge and 3000 years older than the Egyptian pyramid; the longest cableway of the world, entered in the Guinness Book of World Records etc.
- Armenia is one of the origin countries in the world and has the oldest tradition of wine production; the oldest winery (6,000 years old) was unearthed in the village of Areni.
- In a cave of Armenia an international team of archaeologists has discovered the oldest leather shoe in the world. This 5500 years old shoe was perfectly preserved to our days.
- Have you ever seen a "dead city" of prehistoric men? You can find yourself in the past, if you visit the cave settlement of Khndzoresk. This former cave dwelling was inhabited even 50-60 years ago.
