House Giveaway Event Raises Money for Charity
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 12/12/13 -- Over 300 real estate professionals attended a Big State Home Buyers event December 5th, 2013 at Hughes Hangar in Houston hoping for the chance to win a free house, and donating over $800.00 to charity.
, in partnership with five other real estate-related companies, planned to host the Real Estate Professionals Holiday Party in December, but the game changed when Brian Spitz, president of Big State Home Buyers, decided to give away a house for free. Additionally, the Holiday Party sponsors decided that Big State Home Buyers would donate all the proceeds from the purchased raffle tickets to the Children's Fund, a non-profit in Houston that raises money for various children's charities.
"A lot of people asked me 'Why on earth would you give away a house?'" Brian Spitz, president of Big State Home Buyers said. "I love what I do. I love the people that I work with, and I love the people for whom I work. Donating the proceeds to charity was a way to show the industry that I care about what I do, not just about the money."
Spitz's statement is a reminder that there are plenty of long-term investors out there that are serious about providing a value-added service for people. In his speech before awarding the house to the winner, Spitz thanked Noble Mortgage Investment, White Picket Realty, Patten Law Firm, Benchmark Insurance and Fast Track Remodeling, the other event sponsors, for being present and providing quality services for which even Spitz, himself, has used.
