• Takeover of distribution logistics and transport organization
• Significant growth planned for the coming years thanks to new products

Herrenberg, Germany, October 22, 2013: In August, LGI Logistics Group International GmbH successfully won out over the competition in a call for tenders, and in a short period of time has gained yet another industrial customer from the Robert Bosch Group – this time in the form of Bosch Power Tec. Over the coming years, LGI will assume various responsibilities on behalf of the technology company at its Bondorf site (south of Stuttgart): distribution warehousing, transport organization, and customs clearance for electronic components designed for use in renewable energy applications. A new product launch is also on the cards, with the intention of creating a sharp increase in distribution volumes over the next few years.

(firmenpresse) - When it came to implementation, progress was fast, with the project starting as soon as the contract was awarded in August. The first goods left the LGI warehouse as early as the beginning of September and were shipped to industrial and end customers. The comprehensive product portfolio, which includes pioneering power storage technologies alongside solar inverters, inverter stations, and plant management system solutions, is stored in a fully automated high-bay warehouse, picked promptly, and shipped throughout Europe. Speaking about these intensified business relationship, a delighted LGI Division Manager Dorothea Küttner said: "For LGI, the new business signifies an expansion not only in the service portfolio for high-tech solutions, but also in the logistics activities for the Robert Bosch Group, whose Thermotechnology, Power Tools, and Automotive divisions we are already involved in."

Thorben Willann, Group representative for the Logistics division at Bosch Power Tec, commented: "Awarding the contract to LGI means gaining a dream partner. I also want to express our sincere praise at the way the company has presented itself, its accessibility, and the quality of its responses in all areas. All of this really allowed LGI to stand out over several of the competitors. I'm now looking forward to the execution phase, which is sure to be exciting."
