u²t Demonstrates its New Leading Edge Products at ECOC Booth #308-309

(PresseBox) - u²t Photonics AG will demonstrate its leading edge products such as QPSK modulators, coherent receivers and high speed photodetectors at the ECOC exhibition in London this month (23 to 25 September 2013). The company is continuously developing and extending its portfolio to support upcoming new applications and ever increasing data rates.
u²t's 70 GHz balanced photodetector, launched at OFC 2013, created good traction in the market. There is high demand for the product for new test and measurement (T&M) equipment such as optical modulation analyzers. It supports research and development (R&D) activities as well as manufacturing test equipment in particular for coherent products. Over the past few months u²t ramped up its supply chain and manufacturing to adjust availability and to shorten product lead time. The product is now being shipped in volumes according to customer and market demand.
With its recently acquired world leading InP modulator technology, u²t addresses the upcoming market for coherent pluggable solutions. In addition to the GaAs based, stand-alone modulators for transponder and line card designs, u²t's advanced InP modulators support CFP and CFP2 for coherent DWDM Metro and long haul applications. u²t is strongly committed to maintain its leadership in the InP modulator technology and has recently achieved electro-optic bandwidth of higher than 40 GHz enabling 64 GBaud applications.
New versions of the coherent receiver product family will be demonstrated at the exhibition, too. The CPRV1222A with an extended dynamic range will enable customers to support colorless applications. The added L-band version CPRV1122A supports additional applications and is therefore increasing the market coverage of u²t's product line.
