Bosch recognition for Balluff
Bosch Global Supplier Award
(PresseBox) - Stuttgart - Balluff GmbH, sensor specialist and industrial networking provider based in Neuhausen a. d. Fildern, was bestowed with the "Bosch Global Supplier Award" by Robert Bosch GmbH. Balluff won the award in the Indirect Procurement category.
Bosch awards the prize in appreciation of outstanding achievements in the manufacture and supply of products or services. Managing Director Florian Hermle received the award on behalf of Balluff GmbH. As MD Florian Hermle commented at the award ceremony: "We regard service and quality as the basis for successful customer relations. The award from Robert Bosch GmbH is a great honor for us and pays tribute to the excellent work of our Key Account Manager and his team."
In all, Bosch awarded prizes in five categories to 38 suppliers from nine countries. The technology and service company bestowed the Global Supplier Award for the thirteenth time this year.
In 2012 Bosch Group reported global procurement figures of around 27 billion euros. The procurement list includes production material, in particular electronic components, mechanical and electromechanical components and plastic parts.
Procurement is focused on Europe with a share of around 65 percent of the total volume.
"The Bosch Global Supplier Award is both a tribute and incentive. It is an accolade for the services of our top suppliers, and an incentive to all our other suppliers to aspire to excellence themselves", remarked Dr. Volkmar Denner, Chairman of the Bosch Board of Management, at the award ceremony in Stuttgart.
