Brookfield Global Infrastructure Securities Income Fund Files Final Prospectus
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 06/25/13 -- Brookfield Investment Management (Canada) Inc. (the "Manager") is pleased to announce that Brookfield Global Infrastructure Securities Income Fund (the "Fund") has filed a final prospectus dated June 24, 2013, with the securities regulatory authorities of all of the Canadian provinces and territories, for an initial public offering of units (the "Units") at a price of $10 per unit. The Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX") has conditionally approved the listing of the Units under the symbol BGI.UN, subject to the fulfillment of TSX requirements.
The Fund has been created to invest in a portfolio comprised primarily of equity securities of publicly-traded global infrastructure companies that own and operate infrastructure assets (the "Portfolio").
The Fund's investment objectives are to:
The distributions are initially targeted to be 6.0% per annum on the subscription price of $10.00 per Unit ($0.15 per Unit per quarter or $0.60 per annum).
The Portfolio will be actively managed by Brookfield Investment Management Inc. (the "Investment Manager"). The Manager and the Investment Manager are both subsidiaries of Brookfield Asset Management Inc., a Canadian based, global alternative asset manager with approximately $184 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2013 and over 100 years of history in owning and operating assets with a focus on property, infrastructure, renewable power and private equity.
