BMO Harris Bank Volunteers Lend a Hand to Chicago's South Suburbs
Crisis Center, Food Pantry, Local Seniors to Benefit From Bank's Employee Volunteer Day
(firmenpresse) - CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 06/06/13 -- Employees of BMO Harris Bank partnered with over 50 organizations in the Greater Chicagoland Area for their largest annual Employee Volunteer Day yet. During the week of June 3, over 1,500 Chicagoland employees took time away from their desk to volunteer at various nonprofits throughout their community.
Nearly 50 employees in the south suburbs rolled up their sleeves to help their community and those in need. Among their many projects, they:
Visited with seniors at the Village of Orland Park, serving food and playing games during the annual senior picnic
Painted and cleaned Tinley Park's Crisis Center of South Suburbia, brightening one of the center's classrooms
Helped the New Lenox Community Park District get ready for summer by planting flowers and small plants throughout Firefighter's Park
Delivered and organized pre-ordered groceries to New Lenox Township's food pantry

Over 5,600 BMO employees participated in this year's North American-wide BMO Volunteer Day, initially started in 2001.
