Raymond Sloane Joins Berkeley Research Group

Sloane has joined global expert services and consulting firm Berkeley Research Group as a director in the firm's New York City office. He has held leading roles in the investigation of several of the largest fraud cases in the United States. He has also conducted internal investigations on behalf of audit and special committees of boards of directors in connection with restatements of financial results and in instances of suspected embezzlement, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, and other fraudulent activity.

Mr. Sloane has more than 35 years of financial and consulting experience, having spent 24 years with public accounting firms. He has provided expert witness testimony in cases involving economic losses, solvency determinations and substantive consolidation, tracing of cash flows, business valuation, auditor malpractice, and accounting issues. His experience extends to contract disputes, rebates, allowances and kickbacks, post-acquisition disputes, asset securitization, white-collar crime, and fraudulent conveyances and preferences. He has experience in industries such as banking and financial services, including commodities, construction, labor unions, automotive, asbestos, retail, advertising, entertainment, sports, and consumer and industrial products.
