LASER COMPONENTS and Optowell sign Distribution Agreement
VCSELs and Photodiodes from Optowell
(PresseBox) - For serveral years LASER COMPONENTS and Optowell have cooperated. Due to this successful partnership an exclusive distribution agreement for Germany was signed recently.
The Korean company is the leading provider of GaAs-based VCSELs (vertical cavity surface emitting lasers), GaAs PIN photodiodes, RCLEDs, and TOSA/ROSA modules.
The VCSELs are available as chips or in several types of housings. The wavelengths range from 670 nm to 980 nm at a data rate of up to 10 GBps.
These components are used in telecommunications and sensors. Application fields include data transmission, storage networks, barcode and laser scanners, laser printers, optical encoders, position sensors, systems for distance measurement, laser mice, digital video interfaces, medical technology, and systems for blood analysis.
