Rotational Mounts for Laser Material Processing
Protected Beam Guidance in High-power Lasers
(PresseBox) - To simply rotate the polarization direction of a laser beam in laser material processing rotational mounts are used. LASER COMPONENTS offers the anodized aluminum mounts of the manufacturer HAAS Technologies, Inc.
The new POL-15 can simply be attached to other units. A retardation plate, for example, is inserted into the plug-in holder and can then be rotated by hand. In combination with the G1 laser head unit, circularly polarized light can be selected which leads to particularly good cutting results in laser material processing. An additional application is to insert a cylindrical lens which will shape a round laser beam into a line.
