Tony Uzzi's New Nurse Next Door Location in Southern California Surpasses Expectations
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BC -- (Marketwire) -- 10/23/12 -- Tony Uzzi opened Nurse Next Door in Mission Viejo, Calif., at the beginning of August and began working in earnest with clients a month later. He expected to do well -- otherwise he wouldn't have bought the franchise, and he certainly wouldn't have employed his stepdaughter, Paige Palmer -- but he never anticipated how well.
Uzzi's franchise, the first American Nurse Next Door location to open, broke the 11-year-old franchise system's record for first-month revenue.
"We've surpassed our first-year client projections in the first six weeks," Uzzi said. "It's exciting, to say the least."
The record illustrates the immense demand for in-home care as the massive Baby Boomer generation reaches retirement age; health care and nursing home costs skyrocket; and retirees increasingly want to stay in their homes.
It also represents the opportunity for Nurse Next Door in the United States after a highly successful 11 years as Canada's premier home health care provider. Nurse Next Door has three U.S. locations open -- Mission Viejo and Laguna Hills, Calif., and Fort Collins, Colo. -- and additional locations signed in California, Colorado, Texas, Pennsylvania and Illinois as part of an aggressive Stateside expansion.
Uzzi's initial success indicates Nurse Next Door might have understated even own its optimistic projections of U.S. success.
