BMO Capital Markets Donates CAD$1.25 Million to North American Charities
Equity Through Education Trading Day initiative has raised more than $12 million to date and assisted more than 2,500 students
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO and NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- (Marketwire) -- 10/05/12 -- BMO Capital Markets, the investment & corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (TSX: BMO)(NYSE: BMO), announced today it will donate CAD $1.25 million to eight charities across North America through the firm's Equity Through Education program.
Every year, since the program launched in 2005, BMO Capital Markets has donated the institutional equity trading commissions earned in the U.S. and Canada during the course of a day to North American charities that support education.
To date, has raised more than 12 million. The program has helped more than 2,500 individuals who have directly benefited from scholarships, bursaries and other educational initiatives, such as job search strategy forums.
