net mobile AG supports Google Carrier Billing for Telefónica Digital
Deal comprises Telefónica operations in several countries through BlueVia, Telefonica Digital?s payment enabling platform
(PresseBox) - net mobile AG, a leading international full-service provider for mobile value added services and payment solutions, has closed a deal with Telefónica Digital to realise Google?s Carrier Billing for Telefónica operations in several countries. The collaboration will enable Telefónica mobile phone customers to pay for digital goods including applications downloaded from the Google Play Store easily via their mobile phone bill.
Once carrier billing has been selected as new payment method in Google Play, the purchase price is directly debited from the customer's mobile phone invoice. Therefore, no credit card or previous registration of the customer is required, resulting in a very convenient purchasing process.
After the successful service launch with Telefónicas?s German subsidiary O2 in May 2012, Telefónica Spain has been the next carrier to offer this service to its customers. This service started in July 2012. Other operators of the group will follow soon.
