NORTEC raised floor system at Burj Qatar

ID: 1154497

The Lindner Group convinced the general public. Having handled a lot of projects in the Middle East successfully, the company demonstrated its competences with the Burj Qatar in Doha. With NORTEC raised floor system Lindner delivered a proven remedy to equip about 45,000 square metres of the 60,000-square-metre area.

(firmenpresse) - Exclusive floor panels that have it all
The NORTEC floor panels were provided with a covering made of galvanised steel at a dimension of 500 x 500 millimetres. The glamorous effect of the architectural concept is additionally emphasised by a see-through and scratchproof powder-coating. This modification of the Lindner NORTEC raised floor system is a unique product worldwide because it was exclusively installed in the Burj Qatar.

A graceful dome forms the tip of the cylindrically shaped office tower, which was completed in 2010. This project was planned by the architect Jean Nouvel. With a height of 231 metres and a diameter of 45 metres, the building juts out between the skyline and the northern bay of Doha. With imposing facades the Burj Qatar emphasises its uniqueness. About the 27 floors extend playful aluminium elements that imitate traditional Islamic sun- and privacy protection.

The best high-rise building in 2012-09-13
Even on international level the new office tower convinced the general public. At the annual awards of the Council on Tall Building and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) the Burj Qatar was awarded first place in the category of high-rise buildings not least because of its high-quality products. So it is in every aspect one of the most impressive buildings in the Middle East.
