A Modern Documentation Centre for the Geological Survey of Uganda
Results of Ugandan-German Co-operation presented in Kampala
(PresseBox) - In conjunction with the Ugandan Department of Geological Survey and Mines (DGSM), Beak is presenting the project ?Establishment of a Modern Documentation Centre? on the ?Mineral Wealth Conference? (http://www.mineralwealthconference.ucmp.ug/new/index.php), 1st and 2nd October, 2012 in Kampala (Uganda). The presentation will be given by Dr. Frank Schmidt (Beak) und Grace L. Nassuna (DGSM).
From 2008 ? 2012, Beak has developed and implemented database systems at the DGSM, especially for the Documentation Centre in Entebbe. A part of the project was the creation of the web portal for the marketing of the Ugandan Mining Sector: www.uganda-mining.go.ug.
Starting there, you can access the online component Web-UDIS of the Unpublished Documents Information System (UDIS), which is currently introduced by Beak.
Beak Consultants GmbH provides consulting services in the fields of geology, minerals, project due diligence, nature and soil protection, remediation of contaminated sites, planning, development and implementation of information systems, as well as data capture/cartography/GIS in Germany and abroad.
Currently, Beak employs 42 professionals from the fields of geo-sciences, computer sciences, cartography and mathematics.
