Charlotte Marriott SouthPark Makes Blankets to Surprise Patients at Levine Children's Hospital
(firmenpresse) - CHARLOTTE, NC -- (Marketwire) -- 07/24/12 -- The management and staff of the Charlotte Marriott SouthPark, a , recently set out to make fleece blankets to surprise the children at the Levine Children's Hospital, a pediatric hospital that was built with the goal that no child would ever have to leave Charlotte and travel for adequate healthcare.
This works with the Children's Miracle Network during the year through the Charlotte Marriott Business Council, whose mission it is to support the local communities in which Marriott hotels do business.
According to Charlotte Marriott SouthPark general manager Kris Horacek (pictured with director of operations Joe Blewitt), the hotel employees participated for several hours to measure and cut the patterns for the blankets and then tied the pieces together. It was a simple, easy, and fun project as no actual sewing was involved. In total, over 175 blankets were delivered to the hospital.
Other hotel employees involved in the effort included James Williams, director of event planning, and Sheri Zetterberg, executive assistant.
