Calgary Food Bank: Mosey on Down to the Courtyard and Put the Boots to Hunger!
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/09/12 -- Calgary law firm Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer (BD&P) has teamed up with the and veteran chuckwagon driver to pull the chuckwagon to a successful finish.
"BD&P is proud to support the Food Bank for the fifth year with the Put the Boots To Hunger Campaign" said Gary Bugeaud. "As we celebrate the Centennial Calgary Stampede as we look back on 100 years of history in this vibrant city, we will continue to make community investment a priority."
For the past four years, Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer; aka BD&P (as "Friends of the Food Bank") has bid on and won a Calgary Stampede chuckwagon tarp, which they have generously donated to the to use as a fund raiser.
This year, we are thrilled to have veteran driver holding the reins... and he wants to meet YOU!
Join us tomorrow morning for BD&Ps annual Pancake Breakfast. Put on your best hat and boots and mosey on down to the courtyard at 9th Ave & 5th St SW. Nosh down on pancakes served up by the fabulous BD&Pers, enjoy the tunes laid down by the Classic Country team, and have your picture taken with a real live cowboy! folks will be on hand passing the cowboy hat for donations of food and cash - don't forget yours!
Over the last three years, BD&P's tarp purchase for the campaign, and their tireless support of a campaign that runs during arguably the busiest time of year in Calgary, has allowed the to raise more than $1.2 million. Join us in working together to create a hunger-free community.
