Granite Hill Estates to Conduct Fourth Annual Garden Tour
The Tour Features a BBQ Luncheon, Door Prizes, and Golf-Cart Tours of the Campus
(firmenpresse) - HALLOWELL, ME -- (Marketwire) -- 06/12/12 -- Granite Hill Estates (GHE), the Kennebec Valley's premiere continuing care retirement community, will conduct its Fourth Annual Garden Tour on Saturday, June 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on the grounds of the GHE campus. Granite Hill Estates is located at 60 Balsam Drive in Hallowell, Maine.
"Our Garden Tours have attracted more people every year since we started them," said Kathy Jorgensen, Granite Hill's executive director. "So, this year, we've added golf-cart tours to give more people the opportunity to see the full extent of our beautiful campus. And with our gardens in full bloom, it's going to be a spectacular day."
The Garden Tour is free and open to the public. A barbecue luncheon will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be a drawing for door prizes during the afternoon. Attendees will be able to vote for the best garden and the best planter box. The winners will be the reigning champions until next year's Garden Tour. And attendees also will be able to tour Granite Hill's apartments and cottages.
To get to Granite Hill Estates, take exit 109 from the south or 109B from the north off I-95 (Winthrop). Head west on Route 202. Take a left onto Edison Drive. GHE is on the right.
