Transmode wins prestigious Swedish Export Award 2012

Stockholm, Sweden - 23 May 2012 - Transmode, a global supplier of packet-optical
networking solutions, today announced it has been chosen as the winner of The
Swedish Export Award 2012, a prestigious award established and presented by the
Swedish Trade Council.
The award was presented by Ulf Berg, CEO at the Swedish Trade Council to Karl
Thedéen, Transmode's CEO, at a ceremony in Stockholm's City Hall yesterday. The
award is presented each year to a Swedish company that has displayed strong
growth in exporting to multiple overseas markets while also contributing
positively to employment in the Swedish business sector.
A jury of six leading Swedish businessmen headed by the Swedish Trade Council
shortlisted six companies from which Transmode was chosen as the overall winner
after meeting a stringent set of criteria. The panel's motivation for selecting
Transmode was given in the following statement:
"Transmode is active in a global market with high growth, where it has gained
market shares over many years. Transmode has rapidly achieved both a stable
geographical distribution and a broad customer base in a technically demanding
field with strong competitors, where they have developed scalable and capacity-
enhancing technologies. Over the same period, Transmode has for many years
consistently achieved a stable and high profitability."
