eAssistant Software Now Includes 3-D Models of Bevel Gears
The new versions of eAssistant CAD plugins now allow the generation of straight, helical and spiral bevel gears with a click. In addition, profile modifications of cylindrical gears are taken into account during the generation of the 3-D CAD model.
(PresseBox) - GWJ Technology GmbH, headquartered in Braunschweig, Germany, launches new versions of its eAssistant CAD plugins for different CAD system. The new versions allow the automatic generation of 3-D models of straight, helical and spiral bevel gears. In addition, profile modifications of cylindrical gears are now considered in the 3-D model.
The eAssistant allows for fast and easy calculation, design and optimization of an extensive range of machine elements, for example cylindrical gears, straight, helical and spiral bevel gears, shafts, bearings, etc. The eAssistant modules are based on common standards, such as DIN and ISO. In order to combine calculation and CAD, the eAssistant software offers powerful CAD plugins for different CAD systems. The CAD plugin versions now include the creation of bevel gears based on the eAssistant calculation. After downloading and installing the CAD plugin, the user can start the eAssistant calculation modules for straight, helical and spiral bevel gears directly from the CAD system environment. The engineer can calculate the bevel gear and create the 3-D model with a click. The CAD model stores all features and dimensions as design parameters. The eAssistant calculation is linked and associated to the part and can be opened at any time throughout the design phase. The eAssistant CAD plugin also supports an automatic creation of 2-D detail drawings for manufacturing. With just one click, the design table with all manufacturing details can be placed on the sheet.
In addition, the eAssistant calculation module for cylindrical now includes profile modifications. The profile modifications are taken into account during the generation of the 3-D CAD model. A listbox allows the user to select tip or root relief as well as symmetric profile crowning.
The new functions are available for SolidWorks, Solid Edge and Autodesk Inventor.
