Berner&Mattner: Classification Tree Editor CTE XL Professional 2.7
(PresseBox) - Berner & Mattner has released version 2.7 of CTE XL Professional, the proven tool for systematic specification and automated test case generation. Thanks to new features, developers and testers can now integrate the CTE XL Professional even better into the process and tool environment of their companies. The feature "Test Result Annotation" offers documentation functions for the test management. Preliminary considerations concerning the specification of extensive test scenarios can be integrated and documented in CTE XL Professional via mind map import.
CTE XL Professional is well-established in companies as a software standard tool for test design. Enhancements in version 2.7 are aiming at a simplified tool handling and improved integration of industry standards. Upstream and downstream process steps and workflows can now be integrated into the CTE XL Professional. With new features tailored to user needs, the CTE XL Professional leads to greater efficiency in testing technologies, components and products.
Test Result Annotation
Using the Test Result Annotation, it is now possible to document the test cases that ran flawlessly and the ones showing failures. This allows for the test results to be traced in the classification tree and to be used for management tasks. Companies thus get clear transparency benefits in the testing process. In addition, it provides a valuable amendment to the function 'Linking specified test cases with the requirements from IBM Rational DOORS'.
Mind Map Import
In practice, the initial thoughts concerning test case specifications are often created in mind maps. The new version now allows their import into the CTE XL Professional. Here, they can be further substantiated and elaborated by test specialists. Executives, project managers, developers and testers get a consistent point of view - from the first concepts to specification via the systematic test case creation through to result documentation.
