Registered participants for the Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 event will have their choice of staying at The Market Common for two-nights at a 20 percent discount off the regular rate or three-nights with the third night free. These rates are available for stays from Wednesday, Feb. 15 through Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012.

The Myrtle Beach Marathon is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon® and limited to 3,000 entries. The USA Track & Field®-certified course will take runners into The Market Common development, passing several shops and circling Valor Park, before sending them down a 10-mile stretch along Ocean Blvd. Though the course has minimal elevation changes, runners sometimes find the headwinds challenging. The start/finish is located at BB&T Coastal Field at 1251 21st Avenue N. in Myrtle Beach with the start time at 6:30 a.m. and close time at 2:30 p.m.
