SEMDA Announces Call for Presenting Companies
Applications Now Available to Present at the Premier Regional Gathering for the Medical Device Industry
(firmenpresse) - ATLANTA, GA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/14/11 -- Medical device companies seeking VC or angel funding are invited to apply to present at the Southeastern Medical Device Association's (SEMDA) 6th annual conference to be held March 13-14, 2012.
Applications are now available at , and there is no charge to apply. Deadline for submissions is January 20, 2012. For companies selected that choose to present, the cost is just $750, which includes two conference admissions.
Recognized as the premier gathering for the Southeast medical device industry, SEMDA's conference offers medical device companies opportunities to grow their business and make meaningful connections by bringing together professionals from throughout the Southeast to connect, learn and grow.
The dual-track program includes company presentations to venture capital and other investors as well as education and panel sessions. The 2012 conference will also feature 1:1 partnering, presentation of the SpotLight Award and opportunities for attendees to make meaningful industry connections.
Advanced Catheter Therapies (ACT) was selected to present at the 2010 SEMDA Conference. "It was a terrific experience, and we were very pleased with the exposure we received," says Paul J. Fitzpatrick, CEO of ACT. "In fact, I was so impressed with the professionalism of the Conference and the opportunities it represents for Southeastern companies that I agreed to serve as Chairman of this year's Conference."
ACT received $2.98 million in Series A equity financing through an investment consortium in Chattanooga, TN, in September 2011.
