New Appointment for ACCA Canada
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/18/11 -- The global body for professional accountants, ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) has appointed Suzanne Godbehere as its new Head of ACCA Canada, effective from 17 October 2011.
Suzanne's role will focus on supporting the members in Canada while also working in partnership with employers, government agencies and policy makers.
Speaking of her appointment, Suzanne Godbehere said: "I am really looking forward to joining ACCA. The pace of change in the accountancy profession on the global stage, and here in Canada, makes it a very interesting time for me to deliver ACCA's Reputation and Influence agenda - a global programme of work that looks at the pressing policy issues for the profession, from access to finance to sustainability."
Sarah Sim, Director of Market Development at ACCA, said of Suzanne's appointment: "We are delighted that Suzanne is joining ACCA. Suzanne joins ACCA from the Certified Management Accountants of Canada (CMA Canada) where she held the post of Vice-President, Marketing & Communications.
Suzanne has also held the roles of Director, Strategic Marketing for Canada for PwC and Director of Business Development at Cassels Brock, the Toronto based law firm. Prior to this, Suzanne worked in Europe where she managed the world firm communications team at Clifford Chance. Suzanne also spent five years with Arthur Andersen, most recently as their Marketing Manager - Europe, Middle East, India and Africa.
Suzanne is well known in the area of professional services marketing and is Vice-Chair of the Financial Management Institute's Affiliates Advisory Group ().
