In the second quarter the company posted a staggering 167 percent year-one-year jump in high speed internet customers, exiting the quarter with 1.7 million customers. Presently the company pays an annual dividend of 75 cents a share, for a hefty yield of 10.4 percent.
Windstream pays an annual dividend of $1.00 per share for a yield of around 8.3 percent. Windstream added approximately 4800 new high-speed Internet customers in the second quarter, bringing its total to roughly 1.34 million customers.
