BMO Donates $40,000 to Support Relief Efforts in Goderich
BMO Financial Relief Program Available for Customers in Goderich Affected by Tornado
(firmenpresse) - GODERICH, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 08/26/11 -- BMO Financial Group today announced it will contribute $40,000 to assist disaster relief efforts for victims of damages caused by the recent tornado in Goderich.
BMO's donation, including $20,000 from employees, to the Goderich Disaster Relief Fund will qualify for matching funds from the Ontario government. BMO Bank of Montreal branches in Ontario will also be accepting donations on behalf of the Goderich Disaster Relief Fund.
"We are working with the community of Goderich, our employees and our customers to help rebuild and deal with the challenges in the aftermath of the tornado," said Janet Peddigrew, Vice President, Mid-Western Ontario, BMO Bank of Montreal.
BMO's relief program for tornado victims includes:
BMO Bank of Montreal customers are invited to visit their local branch and speak with their financial services manager about their particular financial needs resulting from the damage caused by the tornado. As repairs are completed at BMO's branch in Goderich, residents that need access to BMO services at a nearby location can visit the BMO branch in Clinton, Ontario.
