(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 08/11/11 -- Maxim Group LLC, a leading full-service investment banking, securities and wealth management firm, today announced the appointment of Ian Burgess as a Senior Vice President of the Institutional Equity Sales division.
Mr. Burgess brings over 15 years of Institutional Equity Sales experience to Maxim Group. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Burgess spent 6 years as a Managing Director of Institutional Equity Sales at Morgan Joseph & Co. where he was also a member of the firm's Management Committee. Mr. Burgess began his career at CIBC World Markets in 1995 where he spent four years as a Collateral Manager in the Fixed Income Derivatives Division. Mr. Burgess eventually moved to TD Newcrest Inc. where he served as a Vice President and Director of the Institutional Equity Sales Division. He held similar positions at Puglisi & Co. and IRG Research. Mr. Burgess received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario.
