Critical Elements Start Summer Program on Rocky Mountain Rare Earths Properties

ID: 1027160

(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 08/03/11 -- Critical Elements Corporation (TSX VENTURE: CRE) (OTCQX: CRECF) (FRANKFURT: F12) is pleased to report that the explorations activities have commenced on the Rocky Mountain Rare Metals and Rare Earth properties in southeastern British Columbia. The program will consist of an 1829 line-kilometer airborne, radiometric and magnetic geophysical survey at the Trident, Kin, Hiren and IRC properties. This will be followed by ground prospecting, geological and geochemical surveys on the above properties near Revelstoke BC, and the Munroe property near Canal Flats, BC.

In detail, the ground program will include helicopter assisted stream-sediment sampling, followed by rock sampling during prospecting traverses, and orientation portable XRF-assisted soil sampling in more promising areas. Prospecting and reconnaissance-scale mapping will be completed at each of the project areas in conjunction with the geochemical program. Finally, the best targets in outcrop will be channel sampled for more representative analysis.

The program will build on results stemming from a successful reconnaissance 2010 ground exploration program, which focused on known targets of alkaline intrusive complexes (Trident Mountain, and Ice River Complexes), and new prospective RGS-generated targets (Kin, Hiren, Munroe). Results from the 2010 program returned up to 2.82% Nb2O5 and 500 g/t Ta2O5 from grab samples at Trident Mountain, and 5.26% TREO (total rare earths oxides) and 2.70% Nb2O5 from proximal talus at the Kin property. Numerous, very anomalous stream-silt geochemical anomalies await follow-up examination.
