New Material for Frames of Laser Safety Goggles - SYLEX(TM)

For choosing the right laser goggle often not the filter itself, but the surrounding frame is the limiting factor. A new solution is frames with a new material by Univet - SYLEX(TM).

(PresseBox) - SYLEX(TM) is a new material developed by Univet Research & Development department that allows the obtainment of protection levels more superior than every other plastic frame now on the market. Its peculiar chemical formulation permits to reach protection levels according to EN207:2009: 190-315 D LB8 + IR LB5, 315-1400 D LB6 + IRM LB7, 1400-11000 DI LB4.
These protection levels are usually achieved with the addition of metal details inside the frame; Univet products with SYLEX(TM) reach due to the chemical structure of the material, which offers a better resistance to a direct hit of the laser. The high protection of the material combines light weight with offering a great comfort to users that can easily wear the spectacles during all the workshift. SYLEX(TM) is a Univet material available on 561 and 562 models with more to follow.
