Munich, Germany 05/02/2011 – bebob GmbH, the innovative camera accessory
manufacturer received ‘the Vidy Award 2011’ at the recent NAB trade show in Las Vegas. The
ML-120 Hot Swap Adapter, a buffer for camera powering while swapping the main camera
battery, was chosen as one of the award winning product innovations of 2011.
(firmenpresse) - The respected US ‘Videography Magazine’ has for many years recognised outstanding new
products with the ‘Vidy Award’ during the NAB show in Las Vegas. This year, besides major
industry players such as Sony, Panasonic, Canon and Avid the German manufacturer bebob
was also awarded with this well-established prize in the broadcast and video environment.
Reliable technology for a secure power supply
The Hot Swap Adapter ML-120 guarantees an uninterrupted power supply for ARRI ALEXA,
RED ONE, SONY und PANASONIC cameras. Thanks to the ML-120 batteries can be swapped
while operating, without interrupting during key shoots. A visible alarm indicates the necessity
of a battery swap 2 minutes before the capacity runs out. After use, the ML-120 self-charges
from the new camera battery to be ready for the next intervention.
„Of course it is a great honour for us, when an expert jury recognises and awards the benefits
and technology of our products.“, explains Pierre Boudard, Managing Director of bebob. „I
want to pass this gratitude in first instance to Martin Ludwig, owner of Ludwig Kameraverleih,
who originally had the idea of our Hot Swap adapter. Martin Ludwig repeatedly and
continuously requested a power buffer, so that we were just forced to develop the ML-120.“
