Archiware PresSTORE Access via Canto Cumulus
All-new integration enables Cumulus users to archive and retrieve files stored on tape jukeboxes, and more.
(PresseBox) - SAN FRANCISCO, California ? 08 FEB 2011 ? Canto® and Archiware have jointly announced ?PresSTORE Integration for Cumulus,? an all-new Cumulus add-on that offers fast access to PresSTORE archives from within Canto Cumulus.
Developed by Canto partner, Moksa, the integration comes to market with a track record of success in a demanding production environment.
?PresSTORE Integration for Cumulus is used daily at World Wrestling Entertainment, where it enables Cumulus users to move files to and from the company?s tape archives, on the fly, right from within Cumulus,? explained Moksa president, Vince DiPaola.
The integration was an instant hit at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), as Tom Barnouw, senior systems engineer for the entertainment conglomerate describes.
?Finding offline files is easy with Cumulus, but accessing files archived on tape used to require a lot of manual effort,? he said. ?Now, menu options in Cumulus spring our tape jukebox into action to retrieve or archive anything users want.?
?Many Cumulus customers could benefit from PresSTORE archive control,? said Canto CEO, Ulrich Knocke. ?Customers with valuable archives need reliable, on-premise control of those collections, and now they have it, right from within Cumulus.?
Archiware CEO, Josef Doods, agrees.
?DAM-based control of PresSTORE is often requested by our users, and an integration with Canto Cumulus is requested more than any other,? he said. ?More than just a bridge between our two products, I see this as strengthening the bridge between Archiware and Canto, which will ultimately benefit many customers.?
PresSTORE Integration for Cumulus is priced at 1,995 USD/EUR and requires Cumulus 8.0 and PresSTORE 4.2, or later versions. It can be purchased directly from Moksa, or through authorized Archiware and Canto resellers.
Moksa also publishes the award-winning TypeTrax? and WorkflowManager add-ons for Cumulus.
