Oerlikon Solar selected camLine as MES Software supplier
(PresseBox) - Oerlikon Solar has selected camLine Datensysteme GmbH to be his preferred MES Software provider for his thin film silicon based turnkey manufacturing solution. The agreement implies implementation of a data management system for mass production of thin film based PV modules. camLine provides essential quality manufacturing software solutions to ensure productivity, process traceability, and process security, which are vital for product long life guarantees and allow continuous technological improvements. After screening the market, Oerlikon has decided to choose camLine as their preferred software partner. The main reasons for the decision are in depth capabilities with respect to the PV use case and comprehensive process knowledge built into the camLine LineWorks suite. The low cost of ownership of the overall solution contributes to manufacturing cost reduction of thin film silicon modules. This is made possible by a modular design approach of the LineWorks product suite that supports the required flexibility, remote operability, individual reporting composability for the end-users, and camLine's know-how in equipment integration.
