Stronger UV Signal in SiC UV Photodiode
(PresseBox) - SiC is the standard material used in "solar blind" UV photodiodes because this material is UV sensitive and also very robust.
The new JEC1.7l photodiode has a chip size of 1.7 mm2. At its peak, this photodiode achieves a signal gain of 50% and, at 230 nm, of almost 100% compared to the JEC1, which has a chip size of 1.0 mm2. Full illumination is assumed in this comparison! Pricewise both photodiodes are comparable. The new version is preferably mounted as an insulated JEC1.7l. Upon request, it can also be equipped with UV-A, B, and C filters.
