Bizerba presents the K-class flex
(firmenpresse) - Balingen, 27th May 2010 – The technology manufacturer Bizerba now offers the K-class flex: new generation of the PC scales and till series K class in a modular design. The Balingen-based company is therefore heralding a new age of weighing technology, in which individual components can be ergonomically combined into a scale or till and can be integrated seamlessly into the process at the Point of Sale (POS). In accordance with the Bizerba philosophy the scales and tills work with open standards and can use both Bizerba software and applications from other manufacturers. In this way food traders can realise their individual weighing and till concept with unimagined possibilities.
“We have uncoupled all the scales and till components from each other and now they can be combined in any way you want. We enable the user to design their own individual counter area. We can implement your ideas regarding functionality, ergonomics and positioning in a flexible, chic and modern way. Our modular system means a paradigm change for the food trade,“ says Matthias Harsch, spokesman for the management at Bizerba.
Generally, components such as operator and customer display, printers, external peripheral devices as well as check out scales and load bearers can be individually combined with each other, connected separately and positioned on the counter in a space-saving manner. This applies both to individual scales and till components. Additionally it is possible to integrate individual displays which are for advertising purposes only. They display advertising content at suitable positions on the counter. The displays can be mounted in a space-saving manner with standard VESA holders on wall brackets, stands and rotating and tilting bases.

The “K-class flex” till
The modular till can be put together according to customer’s wishes and the area of use. The individual components can be flexibly selected and individually allocated in any number you want. They can be placed even in the smallest spaces and integrated in an existing scales combination. In this way, an effective and complete solution is created for the customer.
It is possible to operate on several K-class scales and carry out the sales process on the modular till. The operating method is identical for till and scales and enables a flawless process. Additionally, having the same design for both components supports the ambience at the point of sale and in the shop.
In combination with scales the modular till is the perfect solution for shops that primarily use the till and only occasionally weigh things, for example coffee shops and confectioneries. “The weight details can be shown directly on the till display – for the user this means that only one display is required on the counter. Furthermore the data for till and scales can be controlled centrally and the flow of goods and money can be evaluated synchronously“ says Harsch.
The “K-class flex” scale
The modular scale is also available in individual components. With regard to the customer requirements it can be combined and integrated into individual counter concepts. In this way the modular scales can be integrated into the work place functionally and discretely, even in the smallest spaces. The central computer unit and the scales are separate. Both devices have the same dimensions and can be combined into a compact unit, if necessary.
Accessories
Optimally adjusted receipt and linerless paper and labels can be obtained via Bizerba for all scales and tills in the modular K-class series. The use of in-house consumables considerably increases the reliability and also the life span of the devices.
