PI-VR releases VRED Professional 4.2
Novelty: Direct NURBS Raytracing
Berlin, 11.05.2010 – PI-VR GmbH releases the updated version 4.2 of its successful, 3D realtime visualization software VRED Professional.
The integration of new functions as well as the partly revised user interface simplifies the utilization and accelerates the workflow for the user. As the only provider worldwide, the PI-VR GmbH has integrated a technological innovation called Direct Nurbs-Raytracing in VRED Professional 4.2.
With Direct NURBS-Raytracing, surfaces based on construction data can be calculated and displayed a 100% physically correct. That way, it is possible for the first time to directly display surfaces true to reality.
Thanks to the optimized CAD – Converter 4.2, even highly complex conversion processes turn out to be mere child’s play, due to its multithreaded technology so further editing of the data is now possible even faster than before.
(firmenpresse) - The new version 4.2 of VRED Professional is convincing regarding a range of important improvements that simplify and accelerate the workflow. As a revolutionary technological innovation, Direct NURBS-Raytracing has been integrated into the software. It is available as an optional module for the modularly arranged VRED Professional 4.2. With Direct NURBS-Raytracing, it is possible to directly visualize construction data for the first time. Display errors or surface calculation by approximation because of tessellating artefacts will be obsolete in the future. The new and fully interactive Direct NURBS-Raytracing is able to calculate and display surfaces a 100% physically correct. That way, it is possible to evaluate surfaces directly and just as in reality. The Direct Nurbs-Raytracing offers versatile application areas in the field of engineering as well as for digital image production.
Who works with tessellated data and expects high quality of the tessellation process, can now trust in the improved CAD-Converter Module. The new version 4.2 is convincing regarding a considerably accelerated conversion speed. It is possible to edit projects including a wide range of data sets parallelized by distributing conversion processes to all locally available CPU-cores. Calculation times are reduced remarkably. As a further improvement, it is now possible to directly load wire-data from Autodesk Alias Automotive.
VRED Professional 4.2 now includes the completely rewritten TextureEditor Module. It is easier to handle due to the simplified and logical arranged functions as well as the considerably improved general view of the integrated textures. Textures can now be modified in real time because of the newly integrated gizmos.
