M-XRAY: Keep Control of Unwieldy Simulink® and TargetLink® Models
M-XRAY analyzes and evaluates the size and complexity of Simulink and TargetLink models, helping developers identify and remedy potential problems early on.
(firmenpresse) - Berlin, 30 March 2010 – Model Engineering Solutions GmbH (MES) from Berlin has announced the release of version 1.2 of M-XRAY, the latest addition to its quality assurance tool chain for Simulink and TargetLink models.
M-XRAY swiftly ascertains the size and scope of models using specially adapted Halstead metrics that have been extended to apply to Simulink and TargetLink. This set of metrics is well suited to identifying particularly large model parts with above average complexity. Model structure and distribution together with the calculated complexity value are subsequently displayed in handy HTML or Excel reports. Critical parts are additionally highlighted at the beginning of the report. The reports allow you to navigate straight to the model in question in order to investigate complicated model parts more thoroughly.
M-XRAY gives developers an excellent overview of model architecture, which is especially useful in the case of large and unwieldy models. The reports can also be used as a basis for a model review, helping developers improve the structure and comprehensibility of models at an early stage – saving time and avoiding problems in the long run.
