(firmenpresse) - Zurich, Switzerland (September 9th, 2009) – Minicom Digital Signage, the leader in “last mile” player-to-screen connectivity platforms for the Digital Signage marketplace, and Zero Creative are pleased to announce a partnership in the field of 3D video distributing over networks.
In the past months successful experiments have taken place to combine Minicoms’ DS Vision HDMI product with Zero Creative’s autostereoscopic 3D Displays.
The distribution of multiview 3D signals over long distances between player and display can be difficult. Only the slightest loss of video information may cause the 3D effect to be eliminated. Especially in rollouts of 3DZignage, the interactive 3D Digital Signage product of Zero Creative, long distances need to be bridged sometimes. By using the DS Vision HDMI extender, the 3D signal can be distributed up to 200 meters using standard CAT5 cable.

The technology is demonstrated during the IBC 2009 exhibition. In the demo setup the 3DZignage platform runs on a 46” xyZ 3D Display, connected by CAT5 cable using the DS Vision HDMI, viewing stunning 3D effects, which can be seen without any 3D-glasses.
