Sinus – Systems Integration Award 2009 for media technology and systems integration
Awards ceremony at Prolight + Sound 2009!
Three categories: Venue, Entertainment and Information!
The ‘Sinus – Systems Integration Award’ will be presented at Prolight + Sound, which will be held in Frankfurt am Main from 1 to 4 April 2009. Sinus is associated with the Media Systems Prolight + Sound trade fair and honours creative planning achievements and their implementation in solving complex communication problems. There is no restriction on the field of origin of the projects and they can come from fields as disparate as, for example, the communication control centre of a company, digital-signage solutions, multi-media in museums, education or ‘edutainment’, leisure facilities and major reconstruction projects, such as a multi-purpose hall or stadium.
(firmenpresse) - The Sinus Awards will be presented during Prolight + Sound in Galleria 1 at 19.00 hrs on the first day of the fair on 1 April 2009.
In the ‘Venue’ category, the Sinus goes to Martin Reissner, Technical Manager of the ‘Siegerlandhalle’ conference and congress centre, and Heinz Siller of cast C. Adolph & RST Distribution GmbH for the technology used in the modernisation of the Siegerlandhalle in Siegen, for which they were responsible.
Several companies involved in the planning and implementation of new media technology in a bowling centre have been awarded the Sinus in the ‘Entertainment’ category. The following people and companies have been honoured for their work on the Pin Up Bowling Center, Bornheim:
-Wolfgang Pütz, Automaten Pütz
-Markus Lienhart, raum plus schall
-Wolfgang Funke, TASTEONE Medientechnik GmbH
-Georg Hofmann, dBTechnologies Deutschland GmbH
The Sinus in the ‘Information’ category goes to Konrad Krämer, Mediaconsulting e.K., for the technical realisation of the ‘mediatecture’ facade at the BMW Museum, Munich. To this end, elements developed especially for this project were put together to form an installation that sets new standards not only as a design feature but also as a central source of light.
The aim of 'Sinus – Systems Integration Award' is to honour creative planning and the implementation of these plans in connection with a wide range of communication problems. Accordingly, Sinus is awarded for work in professional areas of application in the categories of Entertainment, Business, Venue and Information.
Candidates for the Sinus Award can be individuals or project teams from the fields of planning, consulting and technical realisation, as well as venue operators and manufacturers. A jury selected by the Awards Committee nominates the candidates and then chooses the winners by acclamation in a private meeting. Both the Awards Committee and jury are composed of representatives of the Professional Lighting & Sound Association of Germany (VPLT) and the European Association of Event Centres (EVVC), as well as experts, representatives of the trade press and Messe Frankfurt.
Sinus is an honorary award – the winners are presented with a certificate and a trophy – and is conceptually part of the Media Systems Prolight + Sound trade fair and the Prolight + Sound Media Systems Congress, both of which are held on all four days of Prolight + Sound, International Trade Fair for Event and Communica¬tion Technology, Audiovisual Production and Entertain¬ment, also in Frankfurt am Main.
