After detachment: Christian Flühr raises the bar up to 58 ski-lifts and is planning on new world rec
The alternative book of records accepts now Christian Flühr`s and Sylvie Maier’s world record in Allgäu (Germany) in February 2008, when they rode 58 ski-lifts on one day, but up to the end of Christian’s ski-career 3 further attempts the German ski-racer will start. Beside the acceptance of his 11th world record Christian Flühr took leave of his girlfriend Monika Eder.
.
(firmenpresse) - “The acceptance of this record is very nice, because this attempt was not easy to, according to the snow-condition an temperatures in Allgäu at the end of February. The valleys were green, but the 10 resorts of the records offered us perfect conditions on the slopes. It was unbelievable. This record is also a record, which all people, who were involved, obtain, because of their work.” Christian says happy. Christian is now 11 times world record holder on skis. During this attempt at Allgäu Christian Flühr and Sylvie Maier skied on one day 10 different resorts in two countries (Germany and Austria) and between the different stops they went 83 km by car.
In the time between the record and the acceptance, from 16th-20th September 2008, Christian Flühr got the next record. This time he skied 111 hours and 11 minutes indoor at the world largest ski-dome, SnowWorld Landgraaf in the Netherlands. The record for females Sylvie Maier did with 33 hours non-stop.
Beside the records Christian Flühr had a tough time in the last month. Normally he planned to visit his girlfriend in Mexico. Monika Eder studies there for a half year during her studies in event-management, but she asked Christian shortly before the record-attempt in Landgraaf to stay at home. Christian could understand why but after the record he got the reason why he was asked not to come to Puebla. He discovered at the internet two pictures of Monika and an Mexican guy. “I cannot understand this, we planned the future after her return to Germany in December together, but now it is in wreckage. I dedicated my last records all to her and I got this back. She is the one and only, may be I feel forever love, but now I have to get familiar to the new situation and live my life on my own.” Christian is very sad with this situation. At the end of the last week he took leave of his girlfriend Moni Eder finally.
For Christian Flühr starts now the training for the last records of his career, but he will do 3 instead of 2 planned one. The third attempt will be a new record with the most altitude meters in 12 hours. The both other records will be 77 Ski-lifts on one day and finally 12 day non-stop on skis. “Hopefully this dream will come true and I will leave the ski-stage with 14 records in my luggage. I work hard for this dream and I am sure that the last three records will be a sporting success and also to my private life. Although I have to change my mind, why I will do it.” Christian is sure to complete the records all. The Ski-racer’s records started in 1999 n Obertauern (Austria) with 68 hours and 23 minutes non-stop. End of November he will go like every winter to Hotel Rigele Royal at Obertauern to open the new season and ski there exclusively with the guests of Rigele Royal.
