The international and free political online game and economy simulation Ars Regendi invites you to rule your own state!
(firmenpresse) - Ars Regendi is a newly developed browser-based game that offers a realistic simulation of real-life politics and economics. After a successful trial period, the game was officially relaunched in June 2008 and is available in both German and English. It was produced by Redmaze, a German company based in Dusseldorf. Players are able to form their own states, which are based on actual statistical and demographic data. As head of state, the player is confronted with various social and economic challenges throughout the game play. The players will have to use their own judgment when they decide how to rule on each issue. In addition, the ‘virtual world leaders’ can start wide-reaching reforms, change their country’s budget and join powerful alliances. The ultimate goal is to become the well respected leader of a happy populace or - at the very least - stay in power as long as possible.
In addition, Ars Regendi encourages players from all over the world to become more familiar with important political and economical issues in a playful way. It seeks to motivate players to engage in these important topics on their own and as part of a growing web community. It does not take a lot of time to successfully run your virtual country; just a few minutes of governing work every day will do. But for those with an inquisitive mind, it is also possible to look more closely at the extensive statistical data behind the simulation, learn more about how the data was collected or participate in stimulating and informative forum discussions. The basic version of this challenging and engaging game simulation is absolutely free and additional functions can be unlocked in a premium version for a small fee.
