The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH, or Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie), is the agency which decides on the approval of offshore wind farm development projects in the German North Sea and Baltic Sea. SGS Germany employs Malte Lossin from January 2009 as an Offshore Wind Energy Manager to take over the responsibility for Project Management of Offshore Wind Farm Certification for European projects, focusing on Germany. Malte Lossin is a graduate of the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg, Germany. SGS appoints new Global Wind Energy Expert

SGS has appointed Alexander Heitmann as Global Wind Energy Expert to take over responsibility for project management of offshore wind farm certification projects, as well as other wind energy projects for SGS’s international clients. Alexander Heitmann is a graduate of the University of Energy Technologies in Zittau, Germany. Before joining SGS he worked for TÜV NORD in the certification body for wind turbines from 2005 to 2008.
