Electric vehicles are worthwhile - lithium still in high demand
(PresseBox) - The prices for electric vehicles have fallen. And in terms of vehicle costs, they are often cheaper than combustion or diesel cars.
The triumph of e-cars is set to continue. Because even if the state subsidy is missing, manufacturers are usually accommodating and provide compensation. Forecasts that growth in new registrations in Germany, Norway and Sweden will not change this. This means that the demand for lithium will continue to rise, because without lithium there can be no lithium-ion batteries. And there are also countries that are predicted to see growth in new registrations of electric vehicles in 2024. These include France, the United Kingdom and Belgium, for example. A growing number of rooftop solar systems and the increasing number of applications in portable devices, from robotic lawnmowers to cell phones and games consoles, make use of rechargeable batteries. And producing electricity yourself using photovoltaic technology makes sense, especially in this country. After all, electricity is the third most expensive in Germany compared to other EU countries. Only in Belgium and Liechtenstein is electricity even more expensive than in Germany. Many countries, such as Austria, Spain and Poland, pay significantly less.
