Kithara »RealTime Suite« 8.0 supports Windows Vista

Hardware dependent real-time and communication applications under „Windows Vista“.

Since 10 years Kithara Software dedicates oneself to support system developers to access PC hardware. The new Kithara »RealTime Suite«version 8.0 now also supports „Windows Vista”.

(firmenpresse) - The Kithara »RealTime Suite« realizes hardware dependent real-time and communication applications under Windows. So the software supports developing of real-time applications – e.g. for machine control and automation solutions – under Windows Vista, Server 2003, XP, 2000 and NT.
The »RealTime Suite« is especially recommended for engineers and software developers in an industrial environment of automation and control engineering. The effort of practicing will be reduced clearly because of simply applicable functions and programming interfaces. That speeds up the developing process and the required developement time will be reduced essentially.
So, users stay in their usual programming environment without having to develop a kernel driver. The software directly supports the programming languages C/C++ and Delphi and with limitation C# and the .NET-environment.
The platform independent development of Plug&Play drivers will be facilitated clearly. Provided mechanisms are for example hardware access to PCI cards (I/O ports, physical memory, hardware interrupts) and USB devices. Also the »RealTime Suite« enables programming of real-time timer with multiple kilohertz, precise clock measurement and exact short time delays.
The software provides interfaces for device communication and also serial communication in real-time. Additionally, it supports programming of filter drivers for serial communication and virtual interfaces. As well the »RealTime Suite« includes further mechanisms for IP communication in real-time over selected network cards. EtherCAT support is in preparation.
The Kithara »RealTime Suite« includes various application examples. Under „www.kithara.de“ a free demo version, further product information and a price list are provided.
