The IT service provider and IT security expert combine their expertise and target synergy effects

IT security and related issues are often given too little attention or only addressed too late. This can have negative economic consequences for projects. In the worst-case scenario, the market launch of a product can even be delayed quite considerably. To ensure that it does not come to this, achelos GmbH and the Windhoff Group are now working together to offer powerful solutions.
Rise in internet connections
Marcus Bierhaus, Head of Project Management at the Windhoff Group, explains what this involves: "The keywords here are ?Internet of Things? (IoT) and ?Cloud Computing?. New products or services are increasingly being networked via the Internet, along with their respective features, and are able to communicate with one another. This includes connec-tions to cloud systems and much more. Just consider the range of applications that already exist today, for example in the so-called smart home segment." Security regulations and standards are repeatedly sidelined during product development.
"However, data and information protection should ideally be incorporated right from the outset. Otherwise, this can lead to unnecessarily costly reworking if the worst were to occur. Set against this background, we offer methodological support in the field of risk management, as well as IT security analyses. With achelos as coopera-tion partner for technical consulting and application, 360-degree solutions are being created for this throughout the entire development process."
Attractive solution packages offered
achelos can certainly be considered a pioneer when it comes to IT security in connection with IoT.
