28 October 2021 is an important date for companies exporting chemical substances to the UK. With effect from that day, chemical substances imported into the UK in quantities of over one tonne per year will have to be registered in accordance with the new UK REACH. ?This applies unless downstream user import notification (DUIN) has been effected?, says Rupert Scherer, REACH expert at T
If the recipient of the chemical substances in the UK does not take care of the DUIN and registration directly, the exporter will have to appoint a UK-located Only Representative (OR) to look after the process.
