Rohde&Schwarz propels 5G LBS with Assisted-GPS and 5G NR FR2 mmW performance testing

Rohde & Schwarz, the leader in 5G NR and Location Based Services (LBS) test and measurement, has verified Assisted-GPS (AGPS) performance in a commercial mobile device, while simultaneously transferring data using 5G millimeter wave (mmW). This capability is now available with the Rohde & Schwarz TS-LBS Location Based Services test system.

When used together in the TS-LBS test system, the R&S&S&S&& BEIDOU satellite constellations for A-GNSS. Other positioning technologies that use barometric pressure sensors, WiFi and/or Bluetooth are also available in the same solution. Legacy technologies like GSM, WCDMA and LTE are all supported using the same hardware.
