MGS Asia Debuts in Jakarta to Sold-Out Crowd
(firmenpresse) - Jakarta, November 18, 2019 — Mobile Growth Summit (MGS)—the world’s largest mobile growth conference—is pleased to announce the success of the sold-out debut of MGS Asia 19. Vivek Girotra, formerly of Machinezone and Zoosk, keynoted the event, speaking about “The Changing Face of UA Marketing.” Other speakers represent leading global mobile brands and marketing leaders like Rakuten Viki, Kabam, Snapchat, Credit Karma, Gamejam and more.
Asia is the largest smartphone market in the world and Google called Indonesia “the frontier of mobile marketing.” It only makes sense that MGS bring an event to the heart of mobile growth in Jakarta. Girotra agrees, saying, “I think what we're seeing right now is just the beginning of a period of sustained growth in mobile in Asian countries.”
Many of the speakers focused on retention which is emerging more and more as one of the key tactics publishers and marketers need to focus on when growing their apps and audiences. But it wasn’t all about what was happening on-stage. MGS Events are as much about community and network-building as they are about learning.
“I enjoyed the variety of speakers and the breadth of innovation I saw from the Asian market,” says Girotra. “I met a bootstrapped gaming company from Bangladesh, a finance app from Indonesia, a video streaming company from Korea, and several bigger names as well in the span of a few hours.”
Girotra adds, “I think MGS Asia set a really strong foundation this year and next year will be even better in scale and depth. Dave Westin and his team are constantly iterating and improving their events, and I have no doubt that MGS Asia will soon become the premier and unmissable event for the mobile industry in Asia.”
