eGo-MV recommends signotec for municipalities

The Zweckverband Elektronische Verwaltung in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (eGo-MV) is the central point of contact for eGovernment, IT solutions and all questions concerning the digitisation of administrations in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. For its 118 member municipalities, it acts as a contact for the state government in cooperative eGovernment projects and joint use of central infrastructures.
For many years, both the eGo-MV and many of the affiliated municipalities have been using signotec products for the electronic signature of documents generated from the DMS system. In addition to orders or service instructions, this also includes letters to authorities. The documents are signed electronically on the signotec Sigma signature pad, whose large sensor precisely captures even sweeping signatures. The pad offers maximum security thanks to numerous RSA encryption mechanisms. The pad is connected to the DMS system via the signoPAD-API, a free and powerful interface that can be used to display content and documents, configure slide shows and control many other functions in the pad.
Sven Ansorge, IT Administrator, Process and User Support at eGo-MV explains: "We recommend signotec''s solutions to municipal administrations for signatures from the DMS system. The current applications are paperless ordering systems, service instructions as well as communication between ministries or higher supervisory authorities". For the future, Ansorge not only wishes to use the pads to contact citizens to sign applications and forms, but also to use signotec software solutions for mobile devices such as tablet PCs.
The procurement of electronic signature products for association-affiliated municipalities is carried out either via the ego-MV or - as part of local self-administration - directly via the respective administration. In any case, all users benefit from optimized processes as well as high savings in time and material costs.
