First CAN FD Bluetooth Adapter goes into series production
(PresseBox) - After the successful presentation of the first CAN FD Bluetooth adapter at the embedded world 2019 in Nuremberg, ESS Embedded Systems Solu-tions GmbH has produced the first small series of the CAN/CAN FD proto-col converter, so that series production can now begin.
CANgineFD_BT features a powerful 32-bit Cortex-M4 microcontroller that is clocked at 80 MHz and supports CAN FD data rates up to 10 Mbps.
Together with the built-in Class 1 Bluetooth module (100 m range), CANgineFD_BT is the perfect cost-effective solution for wirelessly coupling CAN and CAN FD networks with a smartphone or tablet.
Thanks to the Bluetooth serial port profile (SSP) and the well-documented ASCII protocol, integration into any Bluetooth enabled platform is user friendly.
CANgineFD_BT uses an extension of the popular Serial CAN Protocol (SLCAN) to send and receive any CAN and CAN FD telegrams with freely adjustable bit rates.
This makes the CANgineFD_BT a perfect device for configuration or maintenance of CAN FD systems.
