SKVTechnik reports on news in the field of the operation of side channel blowers with heavy current motors. The power range of the side channel blowers of SKVTechnik lies in the high-current range between 0.25 kW and 25 kW.

(firmenpresse) - The smallest side channel blower is the machine S1-1-80-0,25kW-3. This compressor weighs 7 kilograms and is powered by high voltage (at 50Hz 200-240 delta connection / 345-415 Y circuit). If customers have a 60 Hz mains voltage, then they can operate the unit at 220-275 in delta connection / 380-480Y circuit.
The machine needs protection at 50 Hz of 1.16 amp in delta connection or 0.7 amp in Y-circuit.
At 60 Hz, the machine needs protection of 1.3 amps in delta connection and 0.9 amps in Y circuit.

Noise:
In normal operation, the small engine makes little sense. Just emits a noise of 51 dB (A) at 50Hz or 52 dB (A) at 60Hz. This is little and can be operated directly at the site without additional pipes or soundproof hoods must be installed.
If customers want to connect the device to existing installations, they will find 5/4 inch standard female threads on the suction and pressure sides.
